Massachusetts and coast to coast

Where we work: Greater Boston, Middlesex County and beyond

We work from Stoneham, Massachusetts, with clients across Greater Boston and from coast to coast. The local knowledge lives here: Massachusetts returns, Department of Revenue notices, sales and meals tax, and the state's own rules on payroll and worker classification. Clients in other states get the same work, on the same monthly rhythm, on a screen.

01 Towns

The towns below are where our Massachusetts work is concentrated, grouped the way people here think about the area. If yours is not listed, it is worth a call anyway. Most of an engagement runs remotely whichever town, or state, you are in.

02 Beyond Massachusetts

Clients from coast to coast

An Enrolled Agent is federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS. The credential is issued at the federal level, not by a state, so those representation rights apply wherever you live. If you are in Arizona and the IRS is questioning your return, we can hold your power of attorney, pull your transcripts and deal with the IRS on your behalf exactly as we would for a client in Stoneham. Federal returns work the same way: we prepare them for clients across the country by remote engagement.

State work is a separate question, and we keep the two apart. Federal representation rights are not a license to appear before another state's revenue department, and a small number of states register or license paid preparers directly. Massachusetts returns and Department of Revenue matters are home ground. Returns for other states we take on case by case: we check that state's rules before accepting the work, tell you at the outset whether we can prepare yours, and where a state requires something we do not hold, we say so and point you to someone who does.

Remote clients get the same engagement as local ones: the same team on the books, the projection and the return, on the same monthly rhythm, with every return reviewed and signed by an Enrolled Agent. The only difference is that the meetings happen on a screen.
